It is important for you to understand the basis of our Six Sigma initiative as this will be the pillars of our proposed solutions. Our initiative will aim to establish the following 4 elements of a successful Six Sigma transformation effort:

• Management Sponsorship:

  • Top management commitment is required to ensure the success of any initiative. An Executive Leadership Program to help leadership understand the benefits of Six Sigma and their role in Six Sigma implementation will be conducted.

• Support Systems
• It is necessary to put in place systems to ensure the success of the initiative, viz. selection of Six Sigma projects, selection of Black Belts, champions, green belts and teams, certification systems, measurement systems, reward and recognition systems etc. Projects will also need to be supported through a system of regular reviews to ensure that they are on track.
• Basic Project Support
• Support sessions delivered over Genaxis’ Six Sigma project Management portal. No limitation on on-line project support required by the candidates through out the training session www.assi.com.my
• On-Site Project Support
• On-site project coaching and mentoring to be provided upon completion of every training phase
• Project Review Support
• Review of project presentation with Champions and Black Belts on the completion of every phase for endorsement from the champion. Business Improvement Project team will meet at the end of every training session to review the project's status

 

• Education through Discovery Learning
• Education provides the knowledge and skills for different segments. The education typically covers the following segments:
• Champions
• Black Belt / Green Belt candidates
• Yellow Belt candidates / team members
• Foundational Six Sigma (for all employees)

Our training methodology is specially designed around the principle of "Discovery Learning", making it an interesting and challenging experience for the participants. The Discovery Learning principle emphasises the use of exercises, games and examples to enliven the class, and also relate the learning closely to the real work -place.

Six Sigma has considerable statistical content but our training strategy would be to keep it statistically simple as far as possible.

To make data analysis easier MINITAB software is a compulsory tool for all Six Sigma training programs. This is to avoid the participants spending most of their time on figuring formulas, which will allow them to focus more the problem to be resolved.

• Project Execution
• Systems which will be set up to support project execution. Further Genaxis will provide the necessary consulting and facilitation support to ensure that the training received by the black belt/yellow belt designates is internalized and utilized effectively to deliver substantial results. This is critical to successful completion and implementation of projects.
• One cycle of Six Sigma implementation, from launch to project completion and certification takes about 6 - 8 months in an organisation
